European VAT Rules For Digital Services

EU VAT laws for digital goods/services changed on 1 January 2015. With these changes, we must charge VAT on digital goods/services at the buyer’s tax rate if the buyer is located in the EU countries.  To comply to these rules the indicated price of our digital goods is now the price without VAT. The VAT rate is based on the European country in which the consumer is located and are added upon checkout. Depending on the EU country, the consumer will be charged between 15 and 25% of the indicated price. Countries outside of the European Union do not pay VAT and therefore the VAT value will be zero.
