Today we are going to show you an easy and neat way of turning your back ties right side out. This tutorial includes step-by-step photo tutorial as well as a video link. Fun right!

Let’s get started shall we?

How To Turn The Back Ties Right Side Out

Step 1: What You’ll need:

  1. 2 pieces of strip (We are using Lana Top & Dress Pattern for this tutorial)
  2. A safety pin
  3. Sewing machine
  4. Scissors

Step 2: Insert The Safety Pin.

Place your strip right side up. Insert the safety pin about 1″ (2.54 cm) away from the short edge and make sure it is centered so doesn’t caught up while sewing.

Take your strip and fold the right sides together lengthwise.  Beginning sewing at the short end where the safety pin is attached (your pin will be sandwiched inside), pivot, and continue down the long end of the strip.  Trim seam allowance to 1/4” (0.6 cm).

Start pushing the safety pin through the tube of the fabric towards the open end. You’ll want to hold onto the safety pin with one hand and push with the other.  Keep pushing until the fabric is right sides out. Pull and take out the pin.  Give it a good press.
